Teachers and Mathematics leaders are invited to hear Ian Shenk, Hanover County Mathematics Curriculum Specialist, speak about the Data Cycle built into the 2023 Standards of Learning.
There will be breakout sessions for all grade bands; K-5, 6-8, 9-12 with sessions focused on:
rigor and productive struggle,
rough draft math,
hexagonal thinking,
modeling motion using technology,
problem solving with the read, draw, write strategy,
differentiation,
discourse,
mathematical games using playing cards.
